No School Friday, Feb. 1st

Dear Dew Family and Friends:
As most of you are aware, our community and county have been hit with a great deal of sickness, mostly strep throat and the flu. After much thought, I have decided that it is in the best interest of students, staff and community to cancel Dew ISD classes and all after school activities for the rest of the week. School will reopen at regular time on Monday.
The custodial staff has been doing extra cleaning, but with the staff and students out of the buildings tomorrow, they will be able to do even more. We will be doing a deep cleaning in all the classrooms, the cafeteria, and all of our buses.
Hopefully, a three-day weekend and the deep cleaning of our facility, will break the cycle of sickness for our school.
Our calendar is structured in such a way that we will not have to make up Friday at a later date.
Thank you,
Mr. Evans

Maroon on Monday

Friends, Dew ISD will be joining many districts across state in wearing maroon to school Monday to show support for Athens ISD after the tragic bus accident on Friday.
Please share.
Mr Evans

Miss Texas

It was an honor to have Madison Fuller, Miss Texas 2018, as a guest speaker for our Red Ribbon Week program. We are blessed as a community and as a state to have her represent us.

Thank you Miss Fuller for sharing your program, "Be the Best You," with our students and staff.
